Texas City is a city in Galveston County located on the southeast shoreline of Galveston Bay. Texas City is a deep water ship port and well known for the petrochemical manufacturing refineries.

The city is known for having the longest man made fishing pier in the world at five miles long and was voted All American City in 1994.
